About PoP Circle

PoP Circle engineers the distance between you and your contacts. This helps you decide who to keep in your circle.

What it does

Dee has a problem. She finds herself losing touch with some very interesting people. At the same time, she is spending way too much time with company she does not enjoy.

What Dee needs, is PoP Circle.

PoP Circle will help Dee develop those treasured relationships as well as reduce time spent in relationships she does not wish to maintain.

How it works

Suppose some kind soul came by and told Dee about PoP Circle. This is how that scenario would play out.

Setup

Dee comes to mypopcircle.com and enters the relationships she wants engineered. These are

  • The people she wants to be closer to, or
  • The people she wants to be farther from.
She indicates to the site how often she would like to be in touch with each of the contacts.

Get in (our out of) touch

Dee would come to view her 'View Circle' page and would contact people whose names are big. Big names in the View Circle page indicate urgency. Contact that person now! Small names say Don't contact this person right now. Names will grow in size as that the urgency to contact that friend increases.

Think of it like balloons. As they fill with air and rise, keep popping the big ones. Keep contacting the people whose names are printed big.

Tell PoP Circle

Dee, once having some how contacted a person, will come to the site and let it know that "I have contacted PersonX recently". This is how the system knows whose name can become small again. In this case, PersonX's name will become small again. Slowly as time passes it will grow, and soon enough it will be big and Dee will need to contact that person again.

How to contact your people

PoP Circle does not care how you get in touch with your contacts. You could have gone out for a beer or a soda. You could have had a significant conversation over IM. You could have sent a heartfelt email. Whatever you consider 'contacting a friend' counts. We want to encourage more physical meeting since social networking and our wonderful technological marvels in communication have reduced interaction to mostly digital. And we miss meeting people in person. But any and all methods of interaction you want to use will work. Just come back and let PoP Circle know that you contacted PersonX recently.
